TGIF

Well, here comes my much needed break — NOT! I’m thankful that it’s already Friday, cause I have 2 days of no school to look forward to, but lo and behold, my Saturday’s going to be packed tomorrow!

  • Watch Tuesdays With Morrie stage play with friends at Greenbelt I
  • Go to Pupil’s gig and buy new Pupil shirt

That’s basically it but I’ll be out from 1PM to 11-ishPM, I’ll probably be home before 12 at most. I really don’t find comfort in staying outside anymore, like going out in malls and staying up all night. After school I usually go home immediately, the only time I get to go to malls is when my blockmate invites me to watch movies in our afternoon break, she invited me recently and I told her I’d be busy so I won’t go — that is the truth, and I needed to get some ‘sleep’. Besides, I AM busy these past few days..

You see, my friends who got to meet the band 4 years ago when they went here decided to re-open the Yahoo Group of the Philippine Street Team for Incubus. I think that I’m in the team now, not sure. Now I offered some help to start off our advertising/promotion/spreading of word by making them posters.. so far I have like 7 versions of a possible official Incubus poster.

Drifting to nowhere

Good morning, people!

Hmmm, so, Incubus’ tickets for their Manila concert were released 3 days ago. Too bad I only found out about it 2 days ago, I placed a reservation after seeing it and guess what I find out the day after that? They were useless!! 👿 I read about it here that the ticket agency are holding back the VIP tickets because of the sponsors! Damn! I’ll go to the mall later to check it out and hopefully reserve a good seat for myself and Alex, I definitely don’t want this to fall out like last time, grrr. I’m sure the people who’ll be getting the best seats are the rich and famous people. Don’t they always? Even though they don’t really deserve it but noo, since they can afford it and they have the money they can buy whatever they want including the privilege of being in front having perfect view of (my lovely) Incubus. It doesn’t help having money (no matter how many of them you have) but having connections and “fame” does, unfortunately I don’t have the latter. 😐

Cheers to the Incubus concert! I just lost my appetite and excite over this cause of them. 🙁 Damn Philippines, it’s always about the money and celebrities and ‘pataasan’ system (go figure what that means in English, I’m sorry I can’t be bothered about it).

I got sick again yesterday, it seems to happen really often and oddly enough since this is only the second week of me attending school. We have a quiz on Filipino tomorrow, and I thought our professor won’t be there tomorrow? Er, he got a substitute for us. That sucks cause I was planning not to attend cause he won’t be there but since we’ll have a quiz, I have no choice but to attend.

Has anyone saw the new Macbook? It’s called the Macbook Air and it’s the thinnest laptop up to date. But I wouldn’t get it cause…

  1. It only has 1 USB port, 1 headphone jack and 1 micro DV1 (I suppose this is for presentations)
  2. It’s so thin that I feel it’d be like typing on a sheet of paper
  3. The HDD for me is not enough, only 80GB? My Macbook has 160GB and that’s not even enough for me ;))
  4. It doesn’t even have an optical drive!
  5. The “new” multitouch feature doesn’t amuse me at all
  6. They only have it in one color which is silver, no black. 😆

I only liked one thing though, the flip down door where the USB port, headphone jack and micro DV1 are placed. Isn’t that sad that I only liked one feature out of the “many features” that it has? Hahaha. All of these for just $1800 with no optical drive, you’ve got to be kidding me Apple. NO THANK YOU. I’d rather stick to my black Macbook.

Edit: (Jan. 18, 08) I have GOOD NEWS!! Find out more after teh jump. 😛

Crisis

I dropped my Algebra subject for this term right after my first class of it last Monday. I simply couldn’t endure anymore future abdominal/kidney pains that I might suffer in the long run, I’d die early if I continue with the goddamn schedule of Algebra. Yeah, so this is how my day went……

I came late on my Filipino class, it was my first subject which starts at 7AM. The professor wasn’t there yet and my blockmates arrived shortly after that and so did our professor. He seemed nice, he’s strict but doesn’t look like it. So far I’m getting something from his lessons, he teaches good and I hope I’ll be able to remember everything he discussed on our previous discussions. On our first day he dismissed us early since there’s not much to do anymore. I left the classroom and ran to the backdoor of the school so I can get a pedicab (sidecar bicycle?) to bring me to AKIC (other building where Algebra classes are held, refer to this entry). It was definitely hard getting there since the pedicab went to a different route than I expected, and when we were nearer to the building, some mild traffic built up, thank goodness I left 10 minutes early than expected or I would’ve been late.

When I arrived at the hotel building I was greeted by a long line of HRIM (dressed in formal executive attires, that’s their uniform) students waiting for the elevator. I knew I’d be late if I wait with them so I took the stairs from ground floor to the eighth floor, when I reached the 4th floor I was grasping for my breath, 6th floor my knees started to tremble and get weak, when I reached the door to the 8th floor fire exit I was dragging my messenger bag to the floor since I couldn’t carry it anymore. I felt uber weak and my kidney started to hurt, didn’t made a big deal out of it and considered to it to be “normal” since I just climbed 8 floors, or so I thought. It probably took more than 10 minutes before class proper and there were only 17 of us, out of 47 (I found this out later) and most of them were executive dressed students, the rest were MMA students like me who dressed in casual outfits, it was easy to tell courses apart on that class, really. As the professor started orienting us with the ‘house rules’ of his class the left side of my lower abdomen started to hurt real bad and I hurried to the bathroom, it got worse after that.. much like unbearable pain as the hour went on. After class I hurriedly went to take the elevator, and my eyesight started to blur and dim out, my body was cold and perspiring, I asked someone where the clinic was.. when the elevator opened I went out to get some ‘natural air’ and I called my dad to pick me up. I went back to the elevator and went to the 7th floor, admitted myself to their clinic. The doctor in charge was nice enough to believe my condition and so I slept for the next 3 hours, mom arrived at quarter to 11 and we discussed things over, I knew I won’t get any better schedule anymore since I’m not ‘allowed’ anymore so the remaining thing to do was drop the subject. I don’t care if my dad gets mad at me for ‘wasting’ his money, it’ll be refunded anyway and besides it’s my health that’s going to suffer if I continue. Fortunately I’m OK now, thank God.

The registrar at AKIC are friggin bitches, I decided to arrange my course dropping at the main building. At recent the only thing lacking is the original copy of my medical certificate, I’ll submit it on Monday hopefully it’ll patch things up. I seriously hate running school requirements, the lines and waiting and so many paper work and requirements irritate me to the nth level. Yes, I don’t have patience especially on lines, this is why on gigs I want to be VIP-ed, hahaha. Anyway, my current schedule as of now for MWF is 7AM-4:40PM, I have an 8-hour break after my 7AM class which ends at 8AM, my next class starts at 2:30PM soo.. I go home after morning classes, hehe, yay! Tuesday schedule I could consider as the WORST, early PE class and waiting for 2 hours for another class and an hour for the start of afternoon class. Thursday isn’t bad since classes start on the afternoon for me, which I like than morning classes! I have this on subject which I regret taking cause the section I’m in have ‘unfriendly people’, I won’t say which class and what subject it is maybe you’ll find out. 😳 They’re unfriendly, most of them are.. I’m glad I found friends who aren’t from their section who happened to be there as well. I don’t like them and they probably don’t like me as well, get over it. 😆

I’ll be returning the comments shortly after this, thanks guys!
And will be followed by watching The Sixth Sense, haha, we watched Pay it Forward for my “Religion” class and I got curious on Haley Osment, he doesn’t look that cute now but yeah.. just for the sake of movies, woo! Oh yeah, I recently got a Skitch account, add me or something? Astroholiday is my account 🙂
