Current wants

I was going to blog about this weeks ago (and this is the part where I put again another reason why I wasn’t able to do it) BUT a) DSL keeps going bonkers just in time when I was about to click the publish button and it would b) take 24 hours before it goes back to normal again and lastly c) This post would be full of photos from online stores and I didn’t want to use my crappy broadband internet stick to access the net cuz the photos would be pixelated/even more crap than crap (?).

Also, I tried to change this blog’s layout since last night but I haven’t found the perfect theme. 🙁 I must’ve downloaded around 6 themes and modified them one way or another but in the end only one of them nearly satisfied me.. until I found this problem with displaying images in a post. A teeny margin/padding problem that I can’t seem to fix even with tinkering the theme’s CSS file.

Jesus, I just want a clean but stylish WordPress theme. Why is it so hard to find a decent website for it?? It’s not like I’m going to rip off the credits and pass it off as my own!! I wouldn’t do that. Grr.

Anyway, current wants! I’m out in the market (online, yeah in case you haven’t figured it out yet haha) looking for these stuff. Unfortunately I can only look but not buy or own any of these because

  • They don’t have it here
  • If they do, it’s probably expensive by a few hundred pesos or more

There was a day when all I did was look online for cardigans, laptop accessories and shoes. Not so much luck with the shoes.. especially when I try to look for a good pair at the malls here.

Image-heavy post. 😉

Where’d My Money Go?

October 11, 2010 by Anna — 5 Comments

Ugh, I’m starting to develop a bad habit this term and it’s not helping with my thesis subject at all.. I’ve been going to malls almost non-stop since last week and probably have used 70% of my “savings” already. I feel so tired and annoyed at the same time. Must go back to being a tech person and not a shopaholic person!

FML for being a girl. Shoulda been the boyish type.. their clothes are more cheaper. I don’t even know why I am in the mood to buy shoes or clothes lately.. /:)

I never liked shopping in the first place. Shopping is very tiring and it doesn’t help both you and your wallet with saving up moolah. In my defense, shopping is not on my like-to-do list for these reasons:

  1. I cannot find a pair of jeans that will fit me perfectly. By “perfectly”, I mean the right length.. I got the measurements covered in the hip area.. just the length of the pair of pants. Because I’m short. =))
  2. I have a hard time shopping for clothes/shoes/bags when I have to use my money. Maybe this is more of an issue of “letting go of my money.”
  3. Either the shirt/top or pair of shorts/jeans/shoes don’t have one in my size OR it’s the last stock and I’m stuck with buying the item on display (argh, DNW).

The third one is what I’ve experienced on the past three days that I’ve tried to “shop”. I wanted to give up once I got to the last mall I went to today and asked the sales lady if they have this pair of sandals I wanted in my size and she said the one on display is the last one and there are no more stocks.

Obviously that was a sign for me that means to stop trying (been going back and forth for a pair like the one I want!) and save my money. Sorry to say, that’s not what happened.. Three days, three purchases. Read more on what I’ve bought.. and might’ve regret buying.

But first, a photo of our dog! 😀 :))

Her name is Menchie, yeah like Demi's character in Camp Rock.
