I found their little booth at the Blogapalooza event last month and got curious what kind of food they have for us to sample. At first I thought it, the donut, looked a bit strange, but after the lady representative explained their product to me.. I understood why it looks like that now.
Mochi-like Mochi-shaped Mochi donuts, that’s the short version of it. It’s chewy and it’s not like the usual donut. Plus what you’ll probably love most about it is there is more than enough filling inside (only on some flavors, afaik) a donut so just imagine how mouthwatering it is going to be for you when you try one.
With regards to its weird shape.. well, it is a Mochi donut after all. Minus its coldness, haha. To me, I just think it’s shaped like that so you can evenly part a donut into 8 parts… for sharing. In one whole donut, there’s 8 mini donuts you can make from it. IDK it looks like munchkins put together for me. 😛
I regret not trying the other flavors and even considering purchasing a couple to eat after, and possibly take home too (but not sure if that’s possible during the event lol). As I am writing this post, I looked at the list of their other branches and I found out that they’re not available in areas that I frequently go to.
Well, there’s one at the newly opened SM BF Parañaque mall, but it’s a hassle to commute there. Ugh. Wish they would open a branch somewhere in Ayala area! 😐
Or one of these days I’ll make a visit to SM BF Parañaque mall, down south.. if I find someone to go with. I’ll definitely buy more to last me a week.
