Of night foodtrips and finding ourselves in the chillest gig yet

(This happened on Wednesday too, but I didn’t want to mix it with my CC/food-related post. Haha, think of this as part 2.)

Aside from this event that I went to earlier on that day, I got to go out at night too. This night-out couldn’t have come at a more perfect timing. See, when I got home from the anniversary press launch from that morning, I was still in the mood to go out and be somewhere instead of being in the house.

Then I received a text message from one of my friends in high school who is in town for a short time, asking me when will we get to hang out. Wow, okay, how random of him. He was leaving Manila in a week, and he still hasn’t seen me. Lol! I asked them a couple of times in the previous weeks if they wanted to hangout but they don’t reply to my messages, then I find out they’re in some far away getaway with our other friends a few days later. Okay.

Hold your horses, I’m not talking about a typical night out of getting crazy. What we’ve decided on is to meet up, eat some place, and then go to a bar and watch a gig. IDK, seems like I’m their go-to person when it comes to gigs/concerts of musicians.

Next, I spent the last hour looking for shows in the usual bars my buddies frequent (hallo crazy friends from college!), see if they have a show for tonight. I found around 3-4 with some help, the last one at the bar that’s nearer to our area. T’was also convenient because most of the bands playing are the ones that we know of.

Chicken Charlie Turns 3!

April 14, 2013 by Anna — 2 Comments

It’s ironic but the truth is, my life is pretty much uneventful and I go through the same routine every day. Ironic in a way that this blog is supposed to be full of events but rarely do I have much to blog about except the concerts that I go to. But this post, for the first time, won’t be about concerts. This time, it will be about.. F O O D.

Yes you read that right, food! A food related blog post. Huzzah!! Enter, Chicken Charlie Restaurant.

I was invited by Jonver last week to the 3rd Anniversary Press Conference of Chicken Charlie restaurant. It happened so fast that I was mumbling between my replies to him over that phone call (sorry! haha). It went like “yes?”, “yes, okay.” “yeah okay..”, “I’ll email you!”, “sure, thank you again!!”.. lol.

The presscon was held at their Makati Avenue branch, so it was very convenient for us. Though on the day itself, the traffic was pretty bad so my friend and I arrived late. We were late, yes, but so were a lot of people. Whew. By the way, I went with Clarizze of All Things, again. Haha! 🙂

On our way there, we were panicking and thinking stuff like what if they won’t let us in because we’re an hour late already?! What if they make us pay for whatever we have to try out? LOL I do not know how these things work. Obviously I am a noob at these ‘exclusive blogger events’ thing. The term “blogger” as a legit term for something that you do so seriously and passionately about, still feels and rolls off my tongue so weird. To think that I have been doing this for so long. Crazy how just by blogging, can take you to different places and open doors of opportunities for you nowadays.

Inside the restaurant, most of the tables were still unoccupied and only a few bloggers/guests have arrived early. We easily spotted the area where we should sign in and shortly after that they assigned us to our table.

Lazada Philippines Review

This will be just a quick post about the service of Lazada Philippines.

You might remember that I did a post about my top picks on their shop not too long ago. During that time, I was doing a background check on this online shop before I published my entry. What I found out were mixed reviews from most people. Sad to say that there were more negative feedback/reviews than positive ones. The negative feedback stood out more.

I decided to make an entry about their service that’s positive.. hopefully this will be helpful to someone out there.
