My apologies for this uber late blog entry. I intended to post this sometime last week but I got lazy. Man, I really hate to be a bum. Unemployment is a bitch, bro.
I met with my friends at school two weeks ago. We were there for different reasons: I went there to follow up these papers I passed 3 weeks ago if they’ve been checked and my name cleared out for graduation; they were there to get their alumni IDs.
My rant about the papers that you don’t really wanna read but I want to let it out so I can get over it:
After I got my papers, I went a few floors down to the 9th floor and I finally met them there. When they got their IDs and we were walking around the school halls, they had this sudden idea to take photos with some of our profs. If we can find any prof that we know, ask for a photo with them, that was the ‘dare’. So we went around the SDA building, floor by floor (starting from 10th floor), taking a peek at each classroom we can find. Whenever we’d stumble by a room with a prof we know, we shamelessly went in and asked for a photo-op with them. Here’s one with my portfolio class adviser from last term. We saw her while waiting for an elevator. Hahaha.
Talk about lakas trip. =)) Hey, during this time, Teacher’s Day just passed like two days ago. In a way, we had a good reason to do this random surprise to our professors. Hahaha. More photos under the cut. I don’t want to post all the photos with my teachers okay. I’ve posted them in FaceBook, and those photos will stay there. I don’t want to give you people the impression that I am a teacher’s pet (I’m not, lol). So instead, here are photos of us fooling around the SDA building for the last time. Last time with them, anyway. 😥 (LOLJK)
Our so-called adventure finally ends around late afternoon. We couldn’t find any more profs to take a photo with. All in all we got around 4 people to take a photo with us, so you didn’t miss much because I already posted two here. 😛 I kinda miss school now. Kind of. It would be pointless to go back anyway because I don’t know anyone and I’m too old to socialize in such a context wherein I’ll be the new kid in a room of students.
Even the school’s security guard gets a photo-op with us. LOL. It’s just him cuz he’s the friendly guard who always greeted us when we entered the building. Aww. :)) FYI, there are two ‘friendly SDA guards’, but this is the guy we get to spend 5 seconds worth of interaction the most.
Pat wanted to go to Noriter (the Korean cafe sitting on top of Tape King in Taft Avenue) after this because she’s never been there so that’s where we went to next. I happen to take some post-worthy photos from that place so wait a bit, I’m writing an entry about Noriter, too. =)) FML, I’m sucha hipster. LOLJK. Photos were shot using a Leica D-Lux 3, borrowed it from my dad. TBH, I don’t really like this camera. Too much noise, but since it has an aperture of f/2.8, okay I’ll settle with it for simple get-together documentary purposes. Both my dad’s Leica digicams produce too much noise in photos, that’s prolly why I don’t like this brand.. but people think otherwise. I dunno.
Reading your post made me miss school too! Though I haven’t set foot in the sda building, I’m a proud Benildean! I miss our days at the cafeteria eating paotsin dumplings! That was 6 years ago!
I miss SDA… nakakamiss din yung mga Kuya guards sa school! This guard sa picture nyo I remember he knows about me and yolec rin ata? hahaha =)) updated. :))
