Noming at Noriter

AKA part two of my Rekindling Our Taft Life entry!

After we had our adventure inside our school, we went to Noriter at Taft Avenue for afternoon snack! If memory serves me right, this is the 2nd time I’ve been to this cafe. First was with my blogger friends, that one I didn’t get to blog about though.

My friend, Pat, really wanted to go to this cafe because of the stuff she hears about it. Either that or she has friends who’ve been there and hyped it too much for her. :)) Also, she’s in need of visual inspiration for a project of hers. I guess her peg is Korean interior, hence the need to check this place out.

I don’t normally fancy cafes like this, or cafes to begin with. I get frappes and ice blended drinks from Starbucks and CBTL once in a while if I’m in the mood for it but that’s about it. Oh, and a slice of cake if I decide to stay inside.. usually when I’m with a friend. I don’t go to cafes by myself. I dunno, I feel intimidated being there and not looking busy or studious. :))

In this case, we were tired from running around school and we had a real purpose to visit this place. For me, I was craving for a sweet drink, so there. 😛

Noriter wasn’t that bad on my 2nd visit. It’s certainly anything but a quiet place though, I gotta say. When we got there, it was full and from how ‘settled’ the other customers looked, it looks like most of them have stayed in for more than 2 hours now just hanging out and killing time. So yes, with that much people inside the cafe, it’s definitely not peaceful.

Took some photos while the rest of my friends were deciding what to order…

The cafe has nooks on the sides which I like to call the ‘cozy area’ where customers, mostly students, can chill and do their business. I was eager to get into that area so when the customers on one of the cozy areas left, we immediately transfered to their area. :)) My friends and I got to enjoy the chill part of the restaurant after.

Minutes later, we were called to pick up our orders back at the counter.

Order up!

Order up!

I ordered a Ham and Cheese sandwich and Choco Caramal Frap Blended Cream.

I didn’t feel satisfied with my sandwich, nor did I feel full when I finished it. I was hesitant to order anything that day, to be honest. Number one is the steep prices, check out how much this sandwich is supposed to cost from the photo on top of their menu and see if it’s justifiable. I don’t think so. The price for the drink, I can consider, but this sandwich, never. Sorry. It looked convincing on the other photos they had on their menu because it looked toasted and golden brown so that’s what convinced me to at least try it. :S Well, what can I do.. It’s already here. So I ate it and forgot about my petty concerns, lol.

Next time I’m getting a slice of cake instead of a sandwich, maybe it would be worth the price (see photo below). The price for a slice of cake is a little (or much) cheaper than the sandwiches. For the record, I liked the Choco Caramel Frap I picked. It’s not coffee based, yay. No I will not come back, at least not by myself. :))

Obviously, that’s a very inspired girl right there. Hahaha. Go get ’em tiger. =))

Random photo of my friends and that part of the floor in the cozy area where we wrote our names.. leaving our mark. Lol. Our table before we transferred is just behind this area btw. I wonder if we’ll easily spot the area with our names next time when we go there? What about in 10 years time? :))

A very satisfied and inspired customer

A very satisfied and inspired customer!

I don’t think she would want me to post the full size version of this.. hehe. Yup, she’s the one who wanted to go here. Hope Noriter served its purpose to be an inspirational place for creative minds, designers and regular customers. Hahaha. We’d love to see your new room soon. Hopefully it has a cozy corner too. :))

Bye!

Bye!

Noriter is okay but not a place I would frequently go to like the usual Starbucks or CBTL.. I’m fine trying out their food and drinks on once in a blue moon occasions. Definitely not suggesting you to try out their sandwiches. Go for their cakes and drinks. Since that’s a deadly sugar combo for me, I’ll pick one instead and that would be the drinks.

Hey, I heard there’s another cafe in Taft called Holly’s and it’s literally infront of the condo building of my friend. I’ll probably visit one of these days and write a post about it. :)) Friend tells me it’s just that good.. okay, but I’m not getting my hopes up. 😛
