Kisty, the host of this event, asked me and a couple of our common friends (in my side, mostly my schoolmates haha) if we were available on a Wednesday this October. Seeing that I am free, being a bum and unemployed and basically rotting at home until I am told to march down for graduation, I told her that yes I am available and I will go. This is also a despedida she for herself to meet with her online friends and bloggers for the last time before she leaves the country since she got the opportunity to study abroad and we won’t get to see her for a long time.
Fast forward to the day itself, I was anxious because I didn’t know what to wear. I do know that I have to dress-up this time because we’re meeting with other people. Hehehe. So I went there wearing shorts, basic top and cardigan. Something that I have never done before. Naw, naw, no outfit photo for me here. Lol. It also rained today, thank god I got to the train station before the heavy rainfall or else my well-prepared outfit would’ve been well-soaked.
Anyway, I got there to the meeting place first. I went to a couple of stores to pass by time and an hour later, Kisty and I finally met. We were both hungry so we decided to eat first while waiting for the others. She decided that we eat at Chili’s. Being a person who has never tried that and very much open to trying new food and restaurants, I happily nodded in agreement.
Off we went to the Greenbelt 5 branch of Chili’s restaurant while chatting away and getting lost around Greenbelt’s maze-like garden.
Today’s itinerary contains eating at a restaurant and a movie date after.
When we got to our seats (specifically requesting for couch seats because we’re BAMFs like that), we browsed their menu. Being a design geek, I took notice of their menu design and the little stuff no one cares about like the layout and font they used, then I realized that I miss school (kinda, lol). Few minutes later, we ordered up though it took me a while to give my order cuz I wasn’t sure what I wanted.
Twenty minutes later, the waitress served us two nearly-identical burgers. Yep, I just copied Kisty’s order (almost) because I didn’t know what’s good to get since I’m a first time customer there. Hahaha!
I cut it in half because like I said in my previous post, I can’t finish a big burger in just a couple of hefty bites. Mouth’s too small for this one. LOL. Infairness, it’s delicious for its price and the serving is more than enough for me.
This is my only solo photo of her. Hahahaha.
It didn’t take long before we felt that we’ve had too much burger already. As evidenced on this photo, I wasn’t able to finish mine. Pinapak nalang namin ni Kisty while chatting and waiting for the rest of the girls to arrive.
We were nearly finished with these when Kisty’s friends finally arrived. I met Cariza, Charlene, Dianne, and Jessa. They’re fashion bloggers and Kisty’s friends. Introductions aside, we left Chili’s and went upstairs to play at this Photobooth that Timezone has. We must’ve spent 2 hours there, enough hours before the showing time of the movie we were going to watch tonight, fooling around the photobooth and taking photos.
From this point on will be a massive photo dump of fun and randomness spent around the Timezone photobooth!
We also met another blogger tonight, Ghen! It’s my first time to meet her along with Kisty’s friends and I’m happy to say that they’re all a good company to hang out with. We hanged out and took photos with her as well. Too bad she wasn’t able to come with us to the movie part of this despedida! 🙁
Charlene and Dianne got busy taking photos of each other of what they wore today. By this time, we were tired from abusing the photobooth so we left Timezone. We hanged around this area in Greenbelt where there’s a bench and started taking photos for the last time before heading to the cinemas to catch the showing of What’s Your Number?
I’m really glad that I went out to meet Kisty today. I got to meet new people and stay long in this mall. Usually, I’d usually end up in one of the couches chatting away with someone who I came with but this one, I got to take photos, tour around, stay long and bond with new friends. Hahaha, I’m making myself sound like someone who’s just let out of a cage and got to explore the world for the first time. =))
But I’m really happy about how this despedida turned out!! I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to properly say goodbye to you girls, though. 🙁 I hope to see you soon in another intimate event like this.. or if I happen to get invited in events you’re in.. but that’s highly unlikely. I’m quite far from being a legit fashion blogger, hahaha.
Last, a group photo of us before we separated ways!
For anyone who is interested to check out their blogs, you may find them at these places: Cariza, Charlene, Dianne, Ghen, Kisty and Jessa.
ETA: Oh it’s already Monday! I think her flight is today. Have a safe trip, Kisty!!
Hello! It was so nice to meet you. And of course we’ll invite you the next time we hang out (which is hopefully soon)! 🙂 I’m not a fashion blogger too; I mostly blog about my life, it just so happens that I talk about fashion 80% of the time on my blog. Haha! 😛
OMG you were wearing (short) shorts! Yay! <3
I see a pink Cambridge Satchel!!
