Howdy! This will be my last entry for the year of 2010, in five days we would be welcoming a new year and 2010 will be a thing of the past by then. 😂
Hope everybody had a wonderful Christmas and got whatever they wanted (material or not), I know I didn’t.. and I’m fine with it because whatever it is I want cannot be bought by money (or.. yeah it can but it’s too expensive for us right now, lolz).
I’m glad I still remembered this website before the final days of 2010 pass me by, wouldn’t want to miss a post before this year ends! I really have a lot of “apologizing” to do with this domain because I have neglected it so much that if this were a live human being, it would be dead by now due to my lack of proper care. 😞
So, I hope in 2011 I will be able to really push myself to update here instead on my tumblr site. I swear, that site sucks all your enthusiasm to update your other website blogs. Not only that but it has other “side effects” that it can nearly ruin your social life (offline) as well XD.
Anyhoo, a bit of rundown on how December has been really good to me and somehow miraculous! 😊
PS: TL;DR entry.
December 4th: Finally got to take a little (and I really mean little) break from my hectic thesis-development and watch the latest Harry Potter movie. Since I’ve been spoiled too much from what I read online, I didn’t feel that engaged anymore (emotionally-wise). Like I was only there to “see” it but not really feel/empathize it anymore. I didn’t even tear up at the final final scene of the movie. 😉
December 10th: After 3 months and days of procrastinating and TWO DAYS of cramming, I finally reached the deadline of my thesis and I had to present whatever progress I made in those previous months. I planned to write a detailed entry about this but alas, I got lazy and decided to forget about it.
It’s not because I got a failing mark, surprisingly I got good marks higher than what I had expected and I would describe the paneling as one of the weirdest I’ve encountered in my life. It’s because I was stressing over nothing! Then again, it was a good kind of stress, y’know? I wouldn’t want to feel all too confident with my work and the panelists finding faults at it and worse, they might fail/put me on “pending” if they find something they didn’t like. So feeling stressed and nervous while hoping for the best works for me. *shrugs*
Our dog gave birth! 😊 Okay not really a December event, but she gave birth to 6 puppies the month before. We got to take care of all 6 before we had to give away 4 of them. 😞 God, giving each one of them week after week until there were only 2 of them left slowly broke my heart apart (srsly, yuh). This must be the feeling of having something taken away from you after you spent so much time and exerted effort taking care of it every day. I bathed, fed, played and even cleaned after them. I was like their 2nd mom for fuck’s sake! 😥
Then again, we already have around 8 dogs (6 of them were dogs from the very first time the adult dog gave birth last year and 2 from that group are the offspring of the adult dog’s kids) and it’s getting quite hard to manage all 6 of these puppies so giving them away was for the best. I hope they do a better job at taking care of those dogs.
December 19: 6 days before Christmas. I went to the north on this day with two of my gal pals to shoot and gather some stuff for one of our school projects. What we expected to be a fine day turned out to be not so well but at the end of the day we went home carrying shopping bags from the mall so all in all it was a good day. To elaborate on it a little bit more: Went to La Mesa Eco Park but we got lost on our way there since none of us really really knew the way there. Sometime later it started raining just as when we were about to see the spots we specifically wanted to see cuz they’re they focus of our project so we called it a day and went to Trinoma instead.
It wasn’t easy going to Trinoma either, traffic was horrible and finding a parking spot was frustrating. When we got off the car, we went around the place. Five hours later (we left around 9:45PM), I have spent almost $45 but it doesn’t seem to reflect much on the stuff I bought. Man, I needed to get that amount of money back cuz it came from my savings! Eh, I got another shoulder bag and two white shirts that were on sale. Bummer, half of me thinks the bag was not worth it.
December 24-25: Christmas eve was spent eating whatever was on the table and it wasn’t a big celebration unlike those that we had when we were younger. I mostly exerted the effort to order food for the noche buena. Everyone was “busy” that night, dad was watching TV, my brother’s busy with the guitar and my mom was busy with the store and crazy number of customers on Christmas eve. Guess this holiday ain’t for me anymore. The day after was spent in oversleeping and going back and forth between the nearest mall and supermarket and our home doing errands for my mom. Oh and my other wifi router broke, I called the CS of the brand and they say that they would replace my unit. The miraculous part of this day was my other old wifi router works again after keeping it off for a year. I thought it stopped working (hence buying a new router to replace it) but it works after all! 😊 Lol.
Okay I think these important “events” written down on the list are enough. I wouldn’t have remembered all of these plus a whole lot more if not for this planner I bought a couple of weeks ago. Part of my 2011 “resolution” (or just a note to self kind of thing, really) is to get one and fill it out as much as possible because that year would be eventful to me (graduation (HOPEFULLY!), among other stuff).
I am terribly sorry for my chicken shit handwriting! I really just jot down what happen plus notes. I’m not one of those creative kids who enthusiastically doodle and decorate their planner.. pretty ironic for an arts student like me.
Anyway, that’s all for now. I am thinking of making a best albums or movies of 2010 entry in two days.. if I don’t forget/get lazy about it. There’s a lot of good albums I found throughout the year and I’d like to make an entry about it.
