I heard of this event from a friend sometime last week and thought of registering even though there’s no guarantee that I’ll be granted a slot. At the time, it was strictly implied that it is an invite-only event and somewhere along the way, the word “influential” is there.
Here’s the thing: I don’t think I am influential, and certainly my blog doesn’t even rank that high or known to most people. I just post photos of events I go to.. but I still tried. And I was surprised to find out upon viewing this list that I made the (first?) cut!
Looks like I’m going after all. I don’t know who else that I know will be going.. but I am SO looking forward to this because it’s been a long time since I attended any (what I would consider a) legit blog-related event. ๐ Last one was theย Pinoy_Blogfest 3.0 in September 2012. Before that were the last WordCamps that were held in my alma mater, CSB. Heh.
What poked my interest in the first place is that the number of advertisers who will be there. I’m looking forward to see the products and services that will be showcased there, which I will be reviewing eventually after the event. For sure there will be short talks/seminars, for bloggers who wish to take this ‘hobby’ to something that can help them earn in the long run, too. Well, that’s one of the few things I’m sure people would be curious to know about. And then there’s the part where you can meet new people and build your ~blogging network~.
Also, this event will be held in SM Aura. I’ve never been there so this event is perfect because I finally have a reason to go to SM Aura, lol. And I heard Yabu has a branch there? Since I’m flying solo, I might as well have lunch here? I hope there won’t be too many people then. Nah, there probably will be a LOT since it’s on a Saturday.
So if you’re free on the 16th, register now and join me and 300+ bloggers on this day! Do register here as soon as you can before slots run out! ๐
Congrats for being selected to be a part of that huge event! ๐ I haven’t really been in any blogger event because like you, I don’t think of myself as an influential one. I feel like these events are just for those. Hehe. But who knows, they have considered you as one so they included you! ๐
I wish to be a part of some blogger events too, but I don’t really have resources for that. Well, maybe next time. Hehe.
Have fun! And I’ll be looking forward to your reviews ๐
Does this blogger event happens annually? Either way, this automatically goes to my to-attend events list for next year. Sayang kasi parang wala pa namang admission fee dyan sa event. Huhuhuhu. #restrictedgirlproblems
You know what? When I spotted the Yabu for the first time on this entry, I knew I wouldn’t have to continue reading on it. Kasi alam kong pupuntahan mo yun eh, just like every time you spot a Taco Bell shop.
Okay, nagiging off-topic na. Hahaha. Looking forward on your follow-up post on this event. Walang halong echos yan. ๐
PS. Whether you find yourself influential or not, it’s totally okay! Parang pag-aartista lang yan, hindi ka pa nabibigyan ng ‘break’. But hey, you’re one friendly, super approachable, doesn’t-seem-to-look-like-a-twenty-something-at-all blogger kaya! And that’s all that matters! ๐
Aura isn’t much, really. Me and my girlfriend went there on a date… and ended up going to High Street (where we met Herakut… and the rest is a blog entry).
Yes, there’s a Yabu. That isn’t much either. (And I’ve been there twice.) People go there because of the big Esquire poster up front and the allure of the Heusaff name. (I mean, Erwan recommended it, apparently, as Esquire’s food editor. It’s good katsu, sure, but it’s just another one of those do-it-yourself places that do not justify the cost nor the experience.
Also… I think you know my stand on blogging, right?
Wow! Congrats Anna! How I wish maka attend din ako ng legit blogger event. :((( Make kwento ha!
You probably have better chances of getting an invite here than I do because your blog has more substance~ hahahaha. If only you’re here no! Sayang. Yup, I’ll definitely blog about the event after. For sure. ๐
Niko naman, di pa nga ako nakakapunta you’re already shooting me down about it. ;____; Well, I suppose the reason why it didn’t appeal to you is because it’s an SM mall? I don’t know, there are people like that who loathe SM Malls and prefer Ayala’s. Me? I’m not picky with malls, I love going to malls!
I don’t give a s— about the poster personality of the resto that I wish to dine in soon as I step foot there. I care about the food. I really don’t.
I don’t undestand the hype about him either.. but anyway. The “experience” is not totally DIY btw, you can even forgo that part if you don’t like their special sauce. I personally find it tiring to grind(?) the sesame seeds after a long time, and I’m just doing it for the heck of it when I’ve been crushing those seeds for that long.. lol. I just use the sesame sauce mostly.
Mas DIY yung bagong Pancake restaurant I see in social media these days. Good thing it’s far though!! Para hindi ako maconvince to try it out. And then I looked at the prices.. ang mamahal. Why should I pay so much for something that I would be doing myself? Edi sana nag(pa)luto nalang ako sa bahay. Pancake House nalang, it’s like 50% cheaper and there’s a branch near my home. ๐
Slappy Cakes or something? They’re opening a branch at Aura. Or it already opened. Kulang na lang Alabang, knowing how people from “the South” want everything near to them. Pwe.
I never had the urge to try it, because it’s so much more fun to do the pancakes yourself at home. That means shopping and mixing and cooking and eating.
Haven’t tried Project Pie either, but then again, it’s pizza that you make, nothing more, nothing less.
I sound like a hater, hahaha.
Take pictures of SM Aura! Haha I never got the chance to go there, given the insane EDSA roadblock (it took us to reach Shangri-La from SM Mall of Asia, and that was 12MN…. Normally, it only takes 15-30 minutes when it’s midnight).
And enjoy!!!
I don’t know how I will go there just yet by commute but I assume the “Fort Bus” located near the Ayala MRT station passes by SM Aura hahahaha good luck nalang sakin!
Yes I will definitely take photos. Daig ko pa turista sa photos that I will take and post all over social media. Turista or tagabundok, take your pick. Haha joke.
