Well, it was good while it lasted.
No more procrastinating because I know that I have 4 days of free time. No more waking up late because I know that if I don’t get to finish my homework, I can do it the next day. As much as possible I wanted to have a schedule that has lesser days on school than off school, lol, I am that lazy.. but I would like to think that I get to “concentrate” on my homework more seriously if I have a lot of free days. 😉
Starting next week, instead of 3 days of classes (Wed to Fri), it’ll be 4 days thanks to my 6hr class every Tuesday. Mind you, it’s just one subject and it’s six hours, SIX! The subject is Video Production 3: Post production. We’re supposed to do “shoot + video editing” per session (once a week class, for 7 weeks) but I doubt we’ll get to experience actually being taught how to edit a video. I was really looking forward to this subject from the start of the term cause I have absolutely no idea how to use Adobe Premiere and I was hoping I’d get to at least master the basics of it in this subject, I can’t use iMovie forever in editing video clips I shoot especially later when I try it on video players (besides VLC) and it won’t work it’s frustrating. It was like that last term in Video Production 2, one of our video plates didn’t play in the school’s computer and I think we got a low grade for that.
Last term, I was a sit-in in one of the classes of Video Post Production.. the prof was teaching the students how to properly edit out a car crash scene. There’s one video clip of a guy crossing the street and another clip of a car passing by, she taught the students how to merge the two videos together, remove the green screen of the other clip so it will blend on the car clip. It wasn’t easy to comprehend but it was quite interesting.
Wouldn’t YOU like to know how to such video effects?? 😛 C’mon, it’s like one step to knowing how this and this kind of effect happens in movies. Me? I just want to know the basics of Adobe Premiere and how to actually use the software, and how to work with the green screen in video clips hahaha.
I guess it won’t be that bad. Good thing this class starts in the afternoon, I don’t have to wake up early at 8am. This class starts at 3 in the afternoon and lasts until 9 in the evening. The following day, I have 2 classes from 2pm to 9pm.
One of my friends is trying to scare me that it will be hard to balance this subject with our other demanding subject which is like part I of our thesis subject series. Fine, I was intimidated a bit, but with good time balance skeelz 😆 I know I can do it.. hrrrrr. By the end of the term (May) we have to present our topic to the panelists (yes there is a “defense” kind of presentation per thesis subject, it’s like we’re going to defend 3 times.. wtf right? jk) AND probably shoot something big for our Video subject.
Not something that’s easy to balance, I admit. OH WELL, THAT’S SCHOOL!
BTW, I bought something off eBay again. Skullcandy in-ear earphones, yep. Finally gave in and tried a pair. It’s good but it wouldn’t (still) fit my ears properly. It’s quite hard to get in and not fall off. 😐 I tried all the foam, sticked in with the smallest pair, good enough. I have to use it more frequently I guess so my ears get “used” to it. 😕
Also, I finally gots a new Tablet!! But I think I’ll post about it on my photo blog at tumblr, which I’ve neglected for quite a number of days… again.
