Well, here comes my much needed break — NOT! I’m thankful that it’s already Friday, cause I have 2 days of no school to look forward to, but lo and behold, my Saturday’s going to be packed tomorrow!
- Watch Tuesdays With Morrie stage play with friends at Greenbelt I
- Go to Pupil’s gig and buy new Pupil shirt
That’s basically it but I’ll be out from 1PM to 11-ishPM, I’ll probably be home before 12 at most. I really don’t find comfort in staying outside anymore, like going out in malls and staying up all night. After school I usually go home immediately, the only time I get to go to malls is when my blockmate invites me to watch movies in our afternoon break, she invited me recently and I told her I’d be busy so I won’t go — that is the truth, and I needed to get some ‘sleep’. Besides, I AM busy these past few days..
You see, my friends who got to meet the band 4 years ago when they went here decided to re-open the Yahoo Group of the Philippine Street Team for Incubus. I think that I’m in the team now, not sure. Now I offered some help to start off our advertising/promotion/spreading of word by making them posters.. so far I have like 7 versions of a possible official Incubus poster.
The following posted below (including the one I posted on the top) are my faves/top choices:
If you want to see the whole pack of posters I made, and if you want to spread the word as well, go to this page. Sorry guys if ever the images seem too big, it looks better when “blown-up” though! 😀 So, I’d like to ask what do YOU think? Do you think it’s good enough, that it can compete with the previous posters for the previous concerts that happened here? 😊 It’s because I’m a newbie at this and that’s why I want your opinion. Having one of these poster designs I made be official would be one of the highlights of my 2008, that’s for sure! As of now I’ve been seeing my poster in some blogs and sites, even in some Friendster profiles of my new found friends who are Incubus aficionados, haha.
An update with my tickets, btw, I traded my Section 106 tickets for a pair of 107 tickets, these are the seats I originally wanted and the best thing is they’re nearer to the stage! Isn’t that awesome? And I really hope it is near.. Found out that the place is having a strong no cameras and video policy, major suckage dudes. Good thing my mom found my Sony camera, I’ll bring it along just in case my Canon (Powershot A640) camera gets confiscated at the venue’s entrance. We’ll try to have it fixed next weekend, the flash part of my Sony cam’s busted, literally — and I have no idea how it happened.
My afternoon was spent by taking a quiz at Communication Skills, I found it pretty hard because I couldn’t understand why the whole thing has to be categorized when it’s just formal writing for business.. I find doing formal letters to be easy as pie before but ever since we started “studying” it, eventually I find it hard to construct formal letters anymore because I was introduced to things that complicated my understanding with making formal letters. Oh yeah, before that.. spending 30 minutes (or more) chatting with my fellow-classmate-slash-newfoundBloggerfriend, Mina.
Last weekend I bought a LOT of movies, the record bar that we went to had a sale, and I couldn’t resist the cheap prices of original DVDs (ranging from 100-150-199, most of which are DVDs of International movies). All in all, I bought 7 movies:
- Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind
- The Butterfly Effect I (Special 2-disc edition)
- John Tucker Must Die
- Just My Luck
- I Am Sam
- Tulad Ng Dati (Indie film about our very own OPM band, The Dawn)
- 13 Going on 30
Hopefully these can keep me away from boredom for the next weekends to come! 😀
I’m downloading Office 2008 for Mac, I’m excited to try out the new Word and Powerpoint! Y/y, nerd talk. 😛
